| Much of what make the Programs at Fairhill Center so unique is the fact that older adult volunteers lead and direct the programs and services for one another. This peer-to-peer support adds a lively spirit to the community at Fairhill. This same spirit permeates the atmosphere of the many community groups and individuals of other generations who also give of their time and talents on the Fairhill campus. There is no age limit to volunteering at Fairhill. | |
| Whether you are a lifelong learner, retiree, student, new graduate, corporate employee, an organization or someone who needs to fulfill a community service requirement, there is usually a way for you to find your niche at Fairhill. | |
| Persons interested in volunteering at Fairhill generally complete a volunteer application form and submit it for review. If you have a resume to include with your application, it also is helpful for us to learn more about you and your skills. A preliminary interview is held to better understand what you want to obtain from the volunteer experience and to determine an appropriate match between what you have to offer and what the organization needs. This volunteer match also takes into account your time availability and the schedule of events taking place at Fairhill. For student, corporate employee or other groups (e.g., churches), the Fairhill staff team works collaboratively to identify team projects that are win-win situations for the group and to advance Fairhills mission. | |
