Summary

The Newsletter Assembly Volunteer is a mission critical, administrative support position responsible for assisting the Development and Marketing Associate and other members of the staff to assemble and sort the Fairhill Center quarterly newsletter in preparation for mailing. Each newsletter mailing assembly can last from 3 to 4 days, depending on the number of volunteers. Volunteers may sign up for as many days as they wish and may sign up for half-days as well. Refreshments will be provided. The three mailings begin on the following days:

Issue 2 - June 14, 2006
Issue 3 - September 13, 2006
Issue 4 - December 6, 2006

Responsibilities

Volunteers are needed to assemble newsletters, which involves:

  • Folding and assembling pages;
  • Stapling assembled pages;
  • Inserting pledge cards and/or calendars as needed;
  • Folding completed newsletter and affixing mailing seals;
  • Affixing address labels;
  • Placing completed newsletters in appropriate bins for postal delivery;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures for successfully sorting and assembling the newsletters;
  • Ability to staple and fold a seven-page newsletter with inserts;
  • Ability to insert and sort newsletters;
  • Professional appearance, attire and demeanor.
